Um, just a sketchy of my new OC... she doesn't have a name yet, so any suggestions would be appreciated! And also feel free to rip me a new one about how crap it is :lmao: I need to know the truth! I might colour it, one day...

You are getting much better

They head could do with being a tad bigger, and the arms could be a tad longer.
But yeah, that's pretty much the only thing I can see wrong with it.
I wont comment on the wrong anatomy for the breasts. Since most anime girls have extremely largre breasts which don't fit their tiny body. :)

Then posts it on deviantART,
Look out, here comes Spider Felix

I love you Jake

Her bust seems to be disproportional to the rest of her body? But it's really good. :)

You draw with nice clean lines. Don't a simple angled line for the nose. You were probably trying to go for something like this. [link] That vaguely triangular shape hints a shadow on one side of the nose rather than the whole structure itself. It's more appropiate to use that angled line when the head is turned more to the side. [link] The mouth is a little bit crooked. Don't forget that the pit of the neck and the clavicle. The arms should be long enough to touch the thighs.

I strongly suggest you to practice on realistic anatomy. A strong ground in realism is necessary to make stylization work. That means try not to draw anime (or any cartoon for that matter) all the time. Because anime distorts anatomy you can fall into bad habits if you don't understand what is and isn't distorted. During the Walt Disney Studio productions of The Lion King and Bambi real-life animals used for the animators to study. They drew the animals excactly as they appear. Only until they became familiar with the real animal did the animators settled for a style that simplifed/stylized them it for the animation.

For more depth, learn to shade to avoid a flat picture. You can practice by drawing simple objects like cubs and spheres under a lamp. Notice how the tones get darker as surface moves farther from the light.
